Are You Ready For Some Football?!?

Brock had his first ball game of the season today and I was able to capture a few pictures of him in action. They won against the Elida Thunder with a score of 26 - 0! They really played a great game. Brock got to start the game and he played most of the time! Now, I have to tell you that Brock didn't see a lot of playing time last season as a fourth grader. As a mom, it was so much more FUN to watch the game when your son is actually playing!! I really enjoyed it! Brock even got a tackle! (Now, please don't think I am bragging...I realize that he didn't make any of the big plays of the game, but to me, he was fantastic...I was just so proud of him today!) I can't wait to see how he grows throughout the season. Enjoy the pictures...there are even some of a really cute assistant coach that I know, and at the bottom, I was able to capture some great shots of this really cute watergirl that they had! Thanks to Grandma Cindy and Grandpa Jack, Grandma Darlene and Grandpa Howard, and Uncle Dick for coming out to cheer Brock on...he is one lucky kid to have so many people loving and supporting him!! By the way...he is #15!

Day With The Dragons

Deb and Mike were nice enough to give us some tickets they had to go to the Dayton Dragon's baseball game. We had such a good time at the game! The weather was perfect, the home team played great and we enjoyed one another's company during the evening. It was a blast...there was lots of entertainment and tons of great food! Thanks again, Deb and Mike, for being so generous! The pictures below were taken right in front of the stadium. We laughed so hard because the kids really wanted to sit on these baseballs for a picture, but everytime they got on...they slid right off! Chuck had to hold them in place and then quick jump out of the way when I snapped the picture! Too funny!!

First Day of School 2009

Today was Brock and Kenzie's first day of school, so we had to take the traditional photos. Luckily for me, they are really good sports about it! Brock started fifth grade today and Kenzie started second. I just love these guys so much and am so proud of them! I know it's going to be a great year! As you will see, it was still a little dark when they got on the bus, but we worked with it!!

New Shoes!!!

Well, let's just say that you know you are bored when you take to shooting pictures of school shoes! I was in the mood to do something and I kept thinking, "What can I add to the blog?" So, when all else fails...turn to new school shoes! If you know me at all, then you know that I would never buy my children white school shoes, because they would be destroyed within days! You know that about me, right?!?!? Well, when I saw these shoes on Brock, I fell in love with them and he fell in love with them and well, the rest is history! Now, this may be the ONE and ONLY time that these shoes are ever seen in their original beautiful white color by the public, so please enjoy them now...who knows what they will look like after the first day! Not to say at all that Brock won't keep these perfectly clean and white...he always loves to please his mother (cough, cough!). We, of course, bought the protective spray and it says to give it two good coats before wearing to repel stains....ummm, yeah.....let's just say that we are going to do a minimum of 6 coats! Think that will do the trick? Anyway, enjoy the new school shoes!

Lazy Days

We spent this past Sunday at my Mom and Dad's house. The idea was to be lazy and spend the day around the pool, however, the weather was NOT cooperating! It was so windy and chilly that the kids were the only ones who were brave enough to get in the water. No matter...we had fun anyway. After lounging around in the afternoon, we had supper together and then later we had a fire, which has become a fun routine for us this summer. We had my Uncle Dick and Aunt Cheryl over and the Harts joined us too! We had a fun evening together, and the fire was the perfect ending for the perfect summer day! I had to break this into three different posts in order to get the pictures on here, so be sure to scroll down and see them all. I really need to take a computer literacy class so I can figure out all of these problems!
